PERFTECH STATEMENT VIS-à-VIS NET NEUTRALITY AND PRIVACY ISSUES

What We Do

PerfTech provides a tool that allows Internet Providers to proactively communicate with their subscribers in a manner that is timely and reliable.  Alternative mediums, such as direct mail, telephoning, or even e-mail (only a small portion of subscribers’ current e-mail addresses are known) have proven to be ineffective for time-sensitive communications.  PerfTech supplies the message delivery; Providers supply the message.  The intent of this platform is to facilitate a dialogue between Providers and their customers:  to keep the subscriber informed in order to improve his/her service, to convey emergency information when necessary, and to announce new services.

How PerfTech Message Delivery Works

Messages are delivered into the browser window of one or more subscribers for whom the message is relevant.  These are the salient characteristics of that delivery:

  • The Bulletin System is website-agnostic and totally independent of the requested page.
  • The subscriber-requested page is fully rendered and fully accessible, scrollable, and viewable.
  • An opt-out capability is provided and strictly maintained by the system for each account.
  • Bulletin System strictly maintains user privacy.

What We Don't Do

  • Bulletin System does not use cookies and does not log subscriber browsing activity.
  • None of the Internet content from a destination site to the subscriber passes through the Bulletin System (unlike a proxy).
  • The content of a requested website is never altered, never modified or even touched in any way, and cannot be observed.
  • Bulletin System does not shape or alter bandwidth; it is not a deep packet inspection device.
  • Bulletin System does not interfere with VoIP or other non-web-based services, as does a “walled garden.”
